I got into the spirit of the thing perhaps a bit too much.  During my visit I happened across the descendant of one of the lions that used to live there:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dagfooyo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/lion-colloseum.jpg\" \" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-332\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dagfooyo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/lion-colloseum.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dagfooyo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/lion-colloseum-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also, in the Colosseum museum, they had a collection of bone fragments from the many different creatures that were let loose for sport.  I was quite surprised to see the following:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dagfooyo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/gryphon-bone1.jpg\" alt=\"gryphon-bone1\" title=\"gryphon-bone1\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-334\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dagfooyo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/gryphon-bone1.jpg 600w, http:\/\/dagfooyo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/gryphon-bone1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\nI thought these guys were mythical!
