A couple more pics from Santander

Turned these two up as I was going through the pics from Venice. Thought you might like to see, ’cause I talked about how beautiful the place was and then I was so sad that my camera broke I hardly posted any photos of the place. Now I am happy because I have a new camera. Also for many other reasons.
Many Shells on Soma Beach.

This is like Sanibel Island used to be!! Except that the shells there tended to run a bit lighter in color, and there were occasionally larger, in-tact shells as well.
Captiva also had some.
That is where the Lion’s Paw came from.

Yeah, this was the most shells I’ve ever seen on a beach – made me think of the Lion’s Paw (the story and the shell). I kept an eye out for large shells but didn’t see any. There were some beautiful intact small shells though.
