That’s right, my eyes began glowing blue for my birthday. No idea why. Actually, these are some LED glasses I purchased after most of a night of drinking at one of Venice’s two late-night bars. The dodgy guy selling them wanted 8 euro, but I talked him down to 2.50.
Turned these two up as I was going through the pics from Venice. Thought you might like to see, ’cause I talked about how beautiful the place was and then I was so sad that my camera broke I hardly posted any photos of the place. Now I am happy because I have a new camera. Also for many other reasons.
What a day yesterday was – I broke my personal record for most number of different methods of transportation. Let’s see…
Not a sign of rain. I think ‘enry ‘iggins was tailkin out ‘is arse.
…that takes me to my plane.
Am I back in New York? Not quite. The other (or one of the other) Guggenheim museums is located in Bilbao, Spain for some reason. And I went there. And it was SWEET!
I also shot some footage of the countryside between Somo and El Astillero:
This morning I went surfing off Somo Beach, just east of Santander. AND IT WAS AWESOME.
That’s right, I’m in Spain! Mainly ’cause Morocco sketched me out as I was doing final travel plans. Little details like the directions to the hostel were, in their entirety: “Not far from the train station” And the number for the hostel was disconnected when I tried to call. Plus, the surf forecast was deteriorating. So I did a quick check and found that the best waves this week are hitting off of Santander, Spain. And here I am! This place is BEAUTIFUL. I was too busy getting lost trying to find the hotel to take any pictures, but now that I’ve finally gotten settled in, I figured I’d send everybody an update since you’re all probably imagining me all in black and white in my fedora, comparing lives to piles of legumes and requesting that Sam provide encores of that song, when in fact I’m not.
